  • Investigate the binding mechanisms of metal contaminations in waste solid materials using sequential chemical extraction methods and microscopic method.
  • Set up analytical technique and performed analyses of heavy metals in stabilized solid wastes by using ICP and AAS.
  • Set up analytical technique to minerology of stabilized waste materials by using SEM-EDX and XRD.

    Technical Skills:

  • Experienced and familiar with ICP-AES, AAS, IC, GC/MS, HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR spectrometers, SEM-EDX, XRD.
  • I have experience with DOS, UNIX, Windows and Window NT based computers and familiar with using MINTEQA to calculate chemical speciation in aquatic environment. I have written programs in Quick BASIC for data acquisition controlling both stepper motors and an A/D board, and for data analysis. I have also written programs in FORTRAN and Visual BASIC for automated data collection and analysis for several chromatography.
